I'm trying to create some new playlist of music for working out. I've searched on youtube and keep coming up with the same rap/rock songs over and over. Would anyone care to share their favorite songs to workout to? I would really love to be able to classify them into 3 categories: warmup ( start out slow and increase tempo), workout (upbeat, high tempo) and then cool down (calming and decrease tempo. Also maybe some inspirational songs as well.

Have you tried Pandora Radio? It's fairly easy to use, just search a song you like and it creates a playlist based on your selection.
  • Stuff I like to Warm Up/Cool Down

i've been in the same boat. i recently found inthegym.net. they have workout playlists already made and pretty sweet treadmill workouts too. I like to run to whatever is new in the hip-hop/pop scene. It's always fast and fun. Vampire Weekend is a surprisingly good band to run. Currently I have....

Britney Spears- Hold It Against Me
    Flo.Rida- Spin me right round
Death Cab For Cutie- You are a tourist
    Enrique- Tonight I'm loving you
    J.Lo- On the Floor
Ke$ha- We Are Who We Are/ your love is my drug
and then various lady gaga songs, some other indie stuff and vampire weekend songs.

I have an ipod shuffle so I just throw everything I want to listen to during my run on there and let it shuffle. If I'm not feeling a song, I skip it. I get too bored if I know what song is coming up next :)

    happy working out!!
