Stupid doctor's scale!!!!

I know my scale is calibrated correctly, I tested it after coming back from my appointment. My question is, why does every single scale that is in a doctor's office make you weigh at least 5lbs more?!?
That stupid scale said I was 12 pounds heavier than I am right now, they also measured me to be 3 inches shorter!!!! I swear they do it to make you obsess!
