Hi everyone!! I am a newbie to MFP but I have been on the new Weight Watchers PointsPlus system for almost 2 months. So far I have lost a total of 8 pounds. I suppose I should be happy about that because it figures out to be a one pound loss per week, but I am looking to lose more. So, I decided to sign up for MFP to get motivation and track my calories taken in and burned.

I have been working out about 3 days a week for 45-60 minutes, except this past week I slacked and only worked out one day :( Sometimes it is hard for me to get the motivation to go to the gym. I am very busy working part-time and going to graduate school full-time at night.

I am taking my dream vacation this June to Antigua! I want to be able to wear a swimsuit and not be so self-conscious that I don't enjoy my hard-earned vacation. I look forward to communicating and supporting my new friends here on MFP.

Good luck everyone!!!!!

Britt

I would be cautious about setting your calories to low on here and expecting the 2 lbs per week loss! I set mine to 1 lb per week- its been there since the start. I lost about 25 lbs in the first 3 months. I also ate back a good portion of my workout points.

The good thing about this website... it works!
Make friends, read and make posts. Its important!

    Good luck!

    Welcome to MFP!

Calories tracked seems to be the best form of weight loss for a lot of people. I think you'll do superb being here counting those calories and working out! :)

I find the gym is extremely hard to get up and go to. - I really want to buy some equipment for my house! That way I can watch TV or whatever I want when I work out. It's whatever best fits you. But 3days a week for 45-60mins is amazing.

I personally found that switching up my routine every 1-5mins is very helpful in making the time go by faster. Small things like Crunches, then bicycle crunches, Pank, lunges, etc each for 2mins makes everything better.

Best of luck with your workouts, can't wait to see your losses^_^
