Hey everyone!
I go to my apt gym since its free. However, I am missing swimming in a pool, and free fitness classes. I do get a free personal trainer but I want to do both. I am going for a free week trial to Lifetime Fitness. However, they are way too expensive. I was wondering what gyms do you all belong to? and what do you do there? And how much?

I am at Super Fitness...no pool, but plenty of classes and lot of equipment, so there is never any waiting. I paid 15 a month, recently upgraded to get the personal trainer sessions and coaching...so now its 40 a month. Not a bad deal
Hope you find a good place in your area.0 -
Check out your local YMCA. We have a family membership for $80. We have a rock wall, swimming pool, indoor track and lots of equipment. There are personal trainers for hire there as well. Not all YMCA's cost the same, but you should check it out.0

I go to my local county rec. center. It's just down the street, so I can walk there. It's got a pool, ice skating, gym / weight rooms... I paid <$1,000 for a 1-year family membership. It's not fancy (kind of feels like working out in a high school gym), but it has what we need.0

So do I just fib and tell them I belong to another gym so I get the sign up fee waived?0 -
I guess you can fib if it doesn't rub your moral bone the wrong way. :-)LA Fitness

LA Fitness is a great gym. We belonged to the one in Roswell when we lived in GA. Check out your YMCA, and don't be shocked at the price they quote. They can be expensive but the YMCA has an open doors policy where anyone can apply for a lower membership rate. I've had single friends do that and they got about $25-30 off the monthly single rate. Never hurts to ask!0
