Almond Milk for Cooking?

I was just wondering if anyone has used almond milk for cooking savory dishes, like using it in Hamburger Helper? I don't keep skim milk in the house, because I can't stand the taste. But, I do use almond milk for my protein shakes. I wasn't sure if my end result for cooking would turn out okay.

I use it just like milk, Just make sure it's the unsweetened kind. I accidentally used some vanilla stuff in a savoury dish and it tasted weird0

I use unsweetened almond or unsweetened soy milk for everything I cook. Both my husband and son are lactose intolerant, so milk is a no go in our house! Can't tell any difference in anything I use it in!0

NI've never used almond milk for cooking. We do the vanilla and chocolate for drinking and I use plain rice for cooking. The rice milk just seems to be better for using *in* things. Don't know why!!
My daughter can't have dairy because it aggravates her eczema, so we've gotten used to a non dairy way of living around here!!0 -
Thanks for the info, guys! The almond milk in my fridge is original flavor, so I'm going to give it a try!0
