measurements??? so confused

I swear I am more confused then ever..........I just tried to do my body % 4 times and 1 sight says measure your waist at your belly button (which i didn't think was my waist - thought that was my belly) LOL - and the other site said waist is at the thinnest part (where it goes in) - please someone help me- oh and your hips - where in gods name do I measure my hips at? better at just getting on the scale LOL

I soo know what you mean! I'm confused as well... when I add in my inches on here, I name them crazy weird names like: center belly lol under butt lol um what is another one?? smallest stomach lol only way I can keep track of where I measured last time LOL

:laugh: I was told to measure your waist, lean to the side and where your skin "folds", that is your waist. As for hips, I read to measure around where your butt goes out the furthest. LOL. I also measure right at my belly button just for my own knowledge. I hope this helps!

I had been told by a trainer that waist was smallest part, correct. And hips are two inches down from belly button, which usually corresponds to your widest point (or almost, depending). I would suggest if you measure upper arms or thighs or calf you note down how many inches from knee, elbow, etc. because it's easy to be measuring all over different times forgetting your place!

Apparently your waist is half way between the bottom of your ribcage and the top of your pelvis ( hip)
