Yesterday, I was telling my hubs that I was happy/upset that my size12 jeans werent sagging and looked awful even with a belt. HAPPY because thats awesome progress, but upset because I dont want to spend money on new clothes until I am in at my goal(15 more pounds and a size 8). Why buy them to only wear them for a month or two--I dont spend money easily. He brought up the fact that Spring is almost here (hopefully) & I wont be wearing jeans much and I should see what my stock of shorts looked like. (I had someone "donate" a bag of warm weather clothes to me when I first started losing weight and they were mostly 10s-i was in a 14 then.) So today, I broke out all my shorts and capris, went through them, and tried them all on.

The shorts that I was SOOOO proud of last Summer (a tight 14 back then) were way too big...I could pull them up over my hips and butt without unbuttoning them! The 12s that I was so excited to wear this year were just a little too big, the 10s fit awesomely (sp?) and I even put on a pair of capris and a pair of shorts that were an 8! I didnt even realize it until I took them off and looked at the tags! They were a little tight, but Im hoping that in a few weeks, Ill be shocked that those dont fit either! YAY! Its still hard to believe this is happening to me!

Last week I got brave and tried on the cheerleading outfit I wore my sophomore year of high school and it fit, too! Gotta love MFP!

That is SO awesome!!! I was in 14's last year (and some 16's) but by the end of summer they were big, so I bought some 12 jeans.. now those are big! I bought one pair of pants a size 10 on clearance, but don't want to buy more pants this close to summer!!! I'm going to wait another couple weeks and try some more shorts/capri's on and I'm hoping for an 8.. but if it's a 10 I'm ok with that too! Tops went from an XL to a M!!!!! Yay!

Keep up the amazing work! Our goals are quite similar.. and they are attainable!

Honestly, in the beginning I just started working out at my gym & the difference was taking group classes (Step aerobics, pilates, Zumba, Strength Training). I had been a member 5 or 6 times before but never stuck with it. This time, I bit the bullet and started going to group classes. I was embarrassed at first, but then I realized that everyone else was struggling just like me. The ones that werent, I made my goal to eventually be able to keep up with them! It turned out that everyone was REALLY nice and once I started going regularly I made some great friends & they motivate me to keep going. It truly became a habit for me. Once I started working out, it made me eat a lot better because I didnt want to "waste" all the hard work I had done that day. Honestly, my eating was the last thing to come into line and MFP has done that for me.

I promise you I was the person that NEVER thought Id be a workout addict. I laughed at those people and wondered what gene they had that I didnt. UNTIL I started. Its a snowball effect. Now I feel badly (and not the 'guilty' badly-my body feels badly) if I dont do something. Thats part of the reason I say that I still have a hard time believing this is happening to me. I actually ENJOY what Im doing and its hard to beleive I am "that person".
    You can do it!
