Getting cals in

So my teacher doesn't believe in logging calories, just eating the right way. So he was shocked to hear that I log so I get enough to eat for my needs. He said he has never had a problem getting enough. If I don't log when I am eating better I would eat and think I was good, but when I log it I would be too far under. So hence the logging of the food.
I mean it does keep me in check, because I would go over if I didn't. Yet, when I am eating healthy-I have to log to get enough. I know weird-I log to eat enough. Do you have this problem?

I agree with you 100%. I think logging is a great way to hold yourself accountable for what you eat. If I don't log, I can eat garbage and not feel as bad, and ALWAYS go over. When I am logging, I feel guilty when I eat bad and I find myself under and having to add more to my diet, because I am more of aware of every little thing that goes in my mouth.0
