Is it possible??

Is it possible to hit a plateau after having lost only four pounds??

Here's the scoop: I started trying to lose weight in November 2007, but being in college severely put a damper on things...late night eating + no money to buy things other than Ramen noodles= no success. However, I did manage to lose 7 pounds - but it took me 7 months! Then I started doing the myfitnesspal thing, and in 4 weeks I have lost about 3 pounds...but now it seems I can't lose any more. I don't know if that means that I plateaued after 3 pounds, or 10 (including the 7 I lost since November). Regardless, I feel like I am stuck. I really want to get back to my "old self" by September 28th (my third and final wedding as a bridesmaid this year), because I am sick of being the "fat bridesmaid" (check pictures for references).

Sorry for the rambling everyone, but I need help! Time is definitely ticking away! :explode:

To answer your question, sure it is possible. It all depends on your body. Ever person is different. As for helping you, really we would need to know the whole picture to give any kind of advice. I.E.
what your daily activity is like, what (how much, types, when) you are eating, what your numbers are (height, weight, activity level without exercise, exercise plan).

Without this info it's tough to give you any solid advice besides, keep at it. We ALL plateau, and all of us can break it. I can tell you this, it doesn't surprise me that you have hit "the wall" with 26 lbs left to lose. People with less then 30 to lose tend to have a harder time then people with more then say 50 lbs. there are lots of reasons for this that I won't get into here, but here is a good post I put up that may help you understand a little better.
