take a taxi to work? It's going to be a nice day today, but walking 5 miles to work just doesn't sound appealing. I already did it once last week and it was painful.

If you can afford it - NO, so totally not lame!0

I don't think so. Who wants to show up to work hurting? And if the temperature is warm outside, you don't want to arrive hot & sweaty either. :noway:0

LOL.. 5 miles is a long way if you're not used to it. If you're wanting to get in some extra workout, can you have a cab pick you up and drop you off a mile from work? And do the same going home? You're still getting in an extra 2 miles in. Just a thought.0

True. No one wants a smelly cashier0 -
No I have seen people do that before. Do what you need to do.0

Kid some kid over and steal their bike. Up side is, you will probably end up with one of those cool bells!0

Do you have a bicycle? Kind of a quicker way with a bit less effort than walking if your location is good for that sort of thing.
Tough to make that call, 5 miles is a fair distance to hoof it - do you walk to work and home from work or do you have a ride home? An option would be to cab it to work and hoof it home perhaps? I don't know if the painful was being at work after walking, or just the walking in general...so this might all be useless. (sorry!) But walking to/from work is a great way to get some 'you' time and work on fitness at the same time!
(Oh, and make sure you have some good shoes!)

Basically I'm just weird and I don't want people to see me and be like 'omg what a loser'0

You can have the cab drop you off around the corner or somewhere else that is closer!0

 You seem like a nice person w/ a good sense of humor so I'll be totally honest, I'm a total CHEAPSKATE so my reaction would be, 'Wow, does she pay to take a taxi to work everyday?' BUT you shouldn't really care what I think, right?
And good on you if you can afford to!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
