Heart rate monitors/calorie burners

I'd really love to buy something that would actually count how many calories I'm burning so I can accurately count my exercise etc.
I live in UK so it would have to be something available over here, I don't want to spend mega pounds.
Do the wrist band ones do the same thing as I'd rather not have one I have to strap round my chest etc and can you get waterproof ones as I do go swimming quite a bit.
I don't even know where to start looking!

Same here! Thinking of buying this one but not sure it'd work as well without a chest strap!

I definitely don't want to be strapping myself up underneath my costume lol it's bad enough having to wear one at all!
