Frustrated...

I have lost 12 pounds so far. I eat right and exercise everyday for AT LEAST 30 minutes (strenously). I do not see the results though other than what the scale says! Did anyone notice their first 10 or 15 pounds? Or do I need to give it some more time?
I know the question may sound silly. I also know that Rome wasn't built in day, so weight loss does take time.
I only ask because this is the point in the past that I give up. Whenever I feel like I am to achieving my goal, then I give up. Please help motivate me and push me past this!!!

I think everyone is different and it depends where you lose your weight from. I lose mine from the outside in. I noticed it in my face, wrist, even my ankles before I notice it around my mid section. You might be the same way.
12 lbs is great progress. Keep on going.0 -
Please don't give up! You've lost 12 lbs thus far and that's GREAT!!! Just think about how strenuous your workout has been so far in order to lose those 12.....and how you don't want to keep starting over!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Nothing easy is worth having0 -
Dont give up. I lose from my face, wrists and fingers; but the scales dont move very quickly. I have accepted that everyone is different. Some lose weight, some lose inches. It will show up soon, keep at it, you're doing really well!
In 7 weeks I have lost 8lb and 11" but the scales only seem to move every fortnight.
Be proud of what you have achieved0 -
I lose my weight from the top down. Check your neck and jawline! Don't give up!0

I've lost 15 pounds and I haven't noticed much but the scale number, either! It is a little frustrating, but we must keep going! Be proud of yourself...it's the only motivation to keep going!0

I couldnt tell im my 1st stone at all, my second stone was unbelievable now every few pounds I can tell a difference. I assume that its because a pound now is a bigger percentage of my weight than it was back in january, keep at it.0

Go to the super market. Go to the produce section and put 2 5 pound bags of potatos in your cart. That is what you have lost, plus 2 more pounds!!! It is is a lot!! You will notice. You know where I lose it first... my fingers! Not an area I was particularly stressing about!0

12 pounds is a great start. I didn't see anything the first 15 or so pounds the scale said I lost. For me, it wasn't until I had a 20 pound loss before I started seeing it. Every body type is different and it takes some people longer than others to start seeing a change.
Keep up the good work, and it won't be long before you are seeing the difference.0 -
Just consider a pile of 12 pounds of butter on a table. 12 pounds is remarkable. It must show somewhere. Although myself I didn't really notice until I lost 20. We just see ourselves differently than others do!!
So when I consider I failed - only lost 1 pound in a week - I open and fridge and take out a pound of butter and look at it. That puts it back in perspective again for me and then even 1 pound lost looks pretty good.
Don't give up. We all get frustrated. I have started over so many times. Actually my ticker is inaccurate. I need to drop 1 more pound to have it be correct again. 3 weeks of hoildays in Florida did a number on me. I am refusing to change it. Hopefully by the end of this it will be correct again!!!

Don't give up. Just keep at it. I've been at this for 2 months now and with the exercise I actually gained weight at first due to building muscle. In 2 months I've lost 15lbs but I've lost 31 inches. I suggest keeping track of the inches you lose, you will see that before you see the pounds. Keep at it! The way I see it I've lost 15 lbs in 2 months, so in 6 months, hopefully that will be 45 lbs and in a year...90, which puts me ALOT closer to my goal than when I started. It sucks that it takes so long to see results sometimes and I too get frustrated when I see people that lose 30 lbs in a month or 2, but I know I will get there. Slow and steady wins the race :-)0

Thanks everyone! i am going to keep pushing through!!!
I did measure myself and lost 5.5 inches total!!! 1in in the neck, 1.3in in the waist, and 2.2in in the hips!
Whoo Hoo!!!
I am going to start keeping track of my measurements in my arms, thighs, and chest too. My hubby told me this morning not to cry, cause he wanted to cry! He said that I am losing the inches and not in the area he wants to see go bye-bye!
Thank you so much everyone!!! I will keep this thread updated as I get frustrated and make process! (note: I said AS I make progress, not IF I make process!!! )0 -
I still don't see my loss...even in pictures0

Okay, so my weigh in was this morning and I found out....3lbs gone! Yipee! But more importantly, I can see it in my clothes! My daughter picked out some pajama pants for me to wear the other day. Now, I have not worn them in over a year because they were way to tight in my thighs, butt, and tummy. I put them on and...they were to loose in all three areas! Yipee!!!
I haven't measured myself since last week, will do that next week. But I can already feel the difference!!!
Thanks for listening to me...sorry if I seem boring and a little weird!!! LOL0 -

When I start dieting and exercising I feel like giving up if the scale doesn't move but yours has and very well I might add let that be your motivation to keep going those pounds came from somewhere. Keep doing what you are doing b/c it seems to be working. I notices my changes in my butt area first. I bet if you asked someone if they noticed you were smaller they would say yes. Keep it up!0
