There are actually three small things that made me happy yesterday and again this morning. I have had my HRM since 2004, but haven't used it in a long time because well...life happened (passed the bar exam, got divorced, got remarried, moved about 4 times, had a baby...) and well, it needed batteries and I was too lazy to send it back to Polar. Nearly everyone on MFP discusses using a HRM, so I finally sent mine in and got it back yesterday.
First happiness factor: When I plugged in my statistics, I discovered it saved my old information and guess what? My weight was exactly the same as when I stopped using it years ago. (I gained a bunch of weight with my pregnancy, and am now at my law school weight, which is healthy/thin, but I have to be more diligent about what I eat and how much I exercise). I am 7 lbs lighter then when I got pregnant.![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Second happiness factor: I did the Fitness Test this morning, having read the instructions last night. I scored a "62", which puts me in the elite category! I guess all those hours of exercise are paying off! I was a little surprised. I know I have more stamina, but I didn't think my number would be that good.
Third happiness factor: Exercising with the HRM actually gave me a higher calorie burn than MFP does! Yippee.
Anyway, I am so excited and so motivated.
