I've just started cycling to and from work (approx 24+ miles a day.)

I've downloaded the 'CycleMeter' App (http://www.abvio.com/cyclemeter/) for my iPhone to track my progress (UK Price £2.99.) BTW, If you are a cyclist or you are cycling to lose weight this App is awesome; I believe it is also available on Android too?!

Does anyone else use it, if so, do you know how accurate the Calorie counter is on it?

Can you tell me what this does and can you get an android version of it rather than Iphone? Someone at work mentioned that they had an app for their Iphone that will record:

    Speed
    Distance
    Calories
    Altitude climbed
Route (so you can save and compare different days when you do the same one)
    Time

Um....I think there was other stuff but I can't remember what???

A friend of mine uses it in accordance with his Polar and says its pretty accurate I'm not sure the calories will be that accurate without a heart rate monitor

Just had a look at this and although it looks fantastic, it appears that it is only currently available for the iPhone. Shame, there's a huge market of other android phones out there that they're missing, I would love to download this but not going to happen sadly!

Edit: having said that, I've just found a contact email for them so am going to enquire about it and whether there are any plans to introduce a non-iPhone version.

My dad uses it and loves it. I have a droid and can't find that particular app. I found a different one but it sucked my battery life like crazy.

I just purchased the app last week for my iphone. I love it. I use it for cycling and also walking. My husband uses it when he's out running also.
Its great - best £2.99 i've spent on an app.

I think that too... I've now done over 400 miles on my new bike, all tracked with Cyclemeter!
  • I actually use this to monitor my walks. It's really easy to use. I wondered how accurate the calories burned reading is? It's very hilly where I live and the calories burnt number is usually a lot higher than the "walking" scenarios found within the myfitnesspal exercise calculations (I take it that myfitnesspal is calculated walking on a flat area???!!!)
  • Its a ripper - use if for cycle, jogging, and even to map my trail bike rides!!!

Love to see it linked to MFP!

shame it doesnt tie into myfitnesspal :( they ony seem to have running app add-ons which suck. i love cyclemeter though, especially for planning new routes on google and sending them to the app to follow.

I'm actually 'cutting out the middleman' now and using Strava's App; I can still use my ANT+ HRM & I don't have to export my data from Cyclemeter to upload it to Strava etc.

Much easier all round (IMHO of course!)

I still use Cyclemeter, after 2.5 years. I used Strava for a while, but I find the it freaks out with the GPS all the time. So, I use Cyclemeter and upload to Strava. I find Cyclemeter's calorie count to be better than MyFitnessPal with my HRM, but Strava seems closer to reality.

Stava may have improved their Iphone app.

I also ride with a Garmin 810 now.
