Calculating Calories Burned

I have no clue as to how to calculate calories. I just did some ab work for 15 minutes and my HRM showed my avg heart rate at 123. Is there a tool to calculate? Formula? Would really like to capture the work I have done. Thanks in advance!

Your HRM should do that for you. You should be able to enter your resting heart rate, weight, age, sex, in the HRM and then it will figure out your "zone heart rate". When you stop the HRM at the end of an exercise session it should display how many calories you burned. Does yours have a chest strap?0

Yes. That is what I was using. I am using a Garmon, which I usually use for running. I guess I need to figure out how to use the Garmon for non-running/cycling exercises...0

FYI...I found this formula.
Total Calories Burned = Duration in Minutes x ((MET x 3.5 x your weight in kg)/200).
Guess I'll plug and chug away! Thanks for your response!0
