I am looking to get a new bathing suit and found one I love on ebay..it is from Hong Kong though and the sizing is way off. I would be a 6/8 ish (there large) I think but going by bust/waist I could be a XL or 2XL....Anyone ever bought a bathing suit from Hong Kong before?

You can see it here; http://cgi.ebay.com/2PCS-0050-Pink-Halter-Padded-Tankini-Swimsuit-Set-L-6-8-/300544570154?pt=US_CSA_WC_Swimwear&hash=item45f9da332a

i've never specifically bought bathing suits in hong kong, but clothes from china (or asia, generally) are sized a bit smaller ESPECIALLY in the bust. i wear a size medium here (mainland china), but often size up to large just so i get a bit of room in the bust. if you're really concerned about it, go for the XL! in any case, the XL probably has a more comfy torso length as well.
  • yea thats cute...i mean i've bought all kinds of things from China and such...takes forever to get here but its just like anywhere else...i say go for it

I emailed them and they said they run VERY small and would go by the size chart but I am still on the edge...lol.

    Bust I would be a 34 which they say is a XL(10)
    Waist would be 31 so 2XL (12)
    Hips are also a 2XL(12)

I imagine hips and waist would have more stretch then bust...I have small boobs so I wouldn't want a bulky top...PLUS I have a few more pounds to lose before I wear it and lots of toning.

Maybe the XL(10) would be best?
My current bathing suit is a 10 but a 10 here (canada) and it is pretty loose...wearable but loose.

As someone with a tiny chest, I'd say go for the smaller size rather than the larger. Nothing is worse than having a bathing suit that is saggy in the boobs area...they might be small but they still need a little support to prevent a wardrobe malfunction! You've got 7 more lbs still till your goal and you've been focusing your fitness on toning...If it's a bit snug when it first gets here it's just motivation to meet that goal, and when you're at your goal I'm sure it will fit just fine.

THANKS! I have been debating it all night and you just helped me decide :) YAY for new bathing suits...Off to order the 10 then...even though it hurt to order a XL at this point...lol.
