carbs in grapes...wow

I was surprised when I finished lunch and had all my food logged that I had almost reached my daily carb intake already and was still below 600 calories for the day.
I thought how great I had done with a salad and grapes and a little health bar for lunch, but who would have thought that those little watery snacks had that many carbs in them compared to the calories. It was more than my small portion of sour dough toast I allow for breakfast. Even my little health bar had half as many. Wow!:noway:
I guess they would be good to eat before a run.

All fruit are high in carbs because of the natural sugar. You really shouldn't be too concerned about carbs in fruit or the sugar content in fruit because it is so much better than processed sugar.
That said! All things in moderation. Too much of anything, even fruit, isn't good.0 -
I was reading about the "olden days" when the first low carb diets were evolving (they called it "Banting" back then) and the diet guidelines said that folks were to eat all fruits except bananas and grapes.
I tend to think if you are exercising and staying in your calories and your carb count is coming from fruits and veggies, it is fine unless you are on diet restrictions by a physician. Sounds like you had a healthy meal to me!0
