hip flexor (i think) pain?

So I woke up i the middle of the night with pain in my left hip flexor. what's up with that? i spent the rest of the night tossing and turning trying to stretch it out. It feels kinda better now....just a little sore feeling or something.
anyone else have hip flexor/hip area pain?
