My MFPals have been asking for my recipes because they see it in my diary nearly every day. I have redone the original recipe and am pleased to see how much lower the calories are on the new dough recipe !! The dough calories and macros for one slice out of eight are:
Calories: 151; Carbs: 27; Fat: 4; Protein: 4; Sugar: 2; Fiber: 1

For the sauce per serving(estimated 40 servings or 5 - 8 slice pizzas):
Calories: 15; Carbs: 3; Fat: 0; Protein: 0; Sugar: 2; Fiber: 0

Dough:

1/2 T Active dry yeast
1/2 T Sugar
3/4 C WARM water
2 C All-purpose flour
1/3 C Yellow cornmeal
2 T Olive oil
3/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic powder (optional) Too much garlic will defeat the yeast, so don't put more than 2 tsp. in this recipe.
1. Sprinkle yeast and sugar into warm water in small bowl; let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.

2. Mix flour, cornmeal oil and salt in a large bowl. I use a stand mixer with the dough hook. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture. In a stand mixer the well gets made and you have to fold in the flour on the sides before mixing again. Stir to form a soft dough, adding more flour if necessary. Turn onto a floured board and knead until dough is supple and elastic, 7 to 10 minutes. Using a stand mixer with dough hook I set the speed on 3 of 12 and mix about 3 -4 minutes and then don't need to knead it by hand. The ball should not stick to the sides of the bowl. Put dough in a large bowl or leave it in the stand mixer bowl, cover and let rise in a warm spot until dough has doubled, about an hour. Punch down.

3. I use a pizza peel and sprinkle cornmeal on the board before spreading the dough. Cornmeal is preferable over flour because it doesn't burn on the bottom of the pizza. Roll dough (I spread it by hand) to a 14 inch circle. Spread with pizza sauce; sprinkle a handful of mozzarella cheese before adding meat and/or veggie toppings. Top with remaining cheese and let sit in a warm spot for about 20 minutes.

4. Heat oven to 475 degrees and bake pizza until crust is golden brown and the cheese has dark spots on it. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing. My meats pizza takes about 8 - 9 minutes(on a stone) depending on how much cheese I put on. Veggies take longer to get the dough cooked. Look at the underside to see that it is done all the way.

Sauce:

1 - 29 oz. can Tomato puree
1 T Sugar
1 T Olive oil
1/4 tsp Lemon juice
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp Basil
1/8 tsp Thyme
1/8 Garlic powder
Combine and let stand for one hour. You could also heat this and simmer(covered) for 10 minutes.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE pizza on the grill!! I usually just buy dough balls from the bakery though, they're cheap and I'm lazy.

Yeah I have a kitchenaid... my problem in the current rental is the lack of space in the kitchen...
If I put the mixer on the one 12" piece of countertop we have then I have to use the stove top for everything else. It's annoying. So I improvise for now. :grumble:
