WTH!?My son is a Celiac and he and my daughter have both tested positive for a wheat allergy. I have been eating gluten free because when I'd eat wheat my lips would swell and I'd have hives all over. Well, I still haven't even eaten yet today and my lips are burning and all swelled up and I'm wheezing. My gums are even feeling swollen now and my roof of my mouth in the back is super itchy. Any ideas?

    Go see a doctor.
  • That definitely sounds like an allergy. Maybe you're having a reaction to one of the new foods you've tried recently? If you start getting short of breath get to the hospital immediately.
  • Go see a doctor.
  • Ya I know at what stage to hit the dr. I have had serious allergies my whole life. Just seems like a food allergy but I haven't eaten yet. Annoying!
  • wheat & gluten and other things are so well hidden in many foods.... or you could've been in physical contact with someone who recently ate one of your allergens...

be careful, Ive been in anaphylactic shock and its not pretty....
  • Sorry to hear that. Do you carry an epi pen? My kids and I have had borderline anaphylaxis but never full blown.

yes and it ticks me off because they are EXPENSIVE..and every few months I watch them expire without ever having to use them ... not that I WANT to use them, it just sucks that I have to spend a lot of $$ just in case...

in my case, my allergies change...things I have had my entire life now affect me and I never know when or how... so its better safe than sorry

    Go to a DR.
  • could be an allergy to something other than food...lotion, soap, makeup...also many insects can cause reactions...I have family members with food/pet allergies and they have reactions to asian beetles also...you could have had something on you whilie you slept.
