How many meals should you eat?

I've been having trouble getting enough calories each day and I'm seriously scared of going into starvation mode. I have been eating 3 meals a day sometimes without a snack and somedays with an apple, orange, 100 cal can of tuna fish, etc. after I get done with my classes. I love to exercise so I always gain back an extra 400 or so calories. Yesterday my net was 337 (I know that's really bad) but I can't seem to make my self eat anymore or I start feeling guilty about eating. Could someone tell me how many meals you eat a day and what type of snacks might help me feel like I'm not eating too much?

    I eat 6 even spaced meals a day, at 200-250 calories each. To get in the extra calories try adding in some high fat food! Such as:

    Cheese
    nuts
    avocados
    full fat greek yogurt :]

    dont feel guilty! You need those calories :D

    Five times a day, generally every 3 hours or when i feel hungry. You need a net of 1000+ a day, otherwise your body will be in starvation mode. Turkey, chicken, fish are good for meals. If you are hungry and need to snack have a yogurt, granola, protein bar, or nuts. Always drink lots of water too.

    I normally eat 3 meals (careful with calories intake) and a snack.

    I eat 6 meals a day spaced out 2-3 hours in between but the meals are only 3 ounces of protein (1/2chicken brast), 1/2 carbs (only before 3pm and 1 cup of veggies.

    I usually eat 5 meals a day. Breakfast, snack, Lunch, snack, and Dinner. My snacks are usually a granola bar, Kettle corn popcorn, lightly salted potatoe chips(Lay's).

    I try to eat every two to three hours, as long as I am awake. i eat when I wake up, I eat when I am about to crawl into bed. I eat, and eat and eat. lol. It started out feeling like I was stuffing myself but now it feels right. And I get super hungry and cranky if I don't eat enough now.
