Music would be a mix of 70s pop and rock.

    The lady?
Look at my friends list and tell me how I could choose just one.

    Awww how sweet are you!!!

I'd play along but if the fate of the human race depends on me I'm thinking you're all in trouble!

Person: Easy but it's a long story...

Books: Here's where we're in trouble.. the most thought provoking book I probably have in the house right now is probably Green Eggs & Ham.

CD's: Probably a crazy mix.. Elvis, Dave Matthews, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Johnny Cash, P!NK, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi ( I AM a Jersey girl after all), Jimmy Buffet... oh geez, I could go on and on. Guess I'd have trouble picking just 5, lol!

Really you have room for 5 books and 5 cd's
Oh...and one person...you know to restart the human race hugs.gif

So who and what do you bring? Keep in mind the music and books you choose will impact all the future little minds of the new world.

    Ok 5 books

    1) Count of Monte Cristo
    2) The Divinci Code (Illustrated version)
    3) Celestine Prophecies
    4) David Copperfield
    5) The Illiad

    5 CD's

    1) George Strait (any one will do)
    2) Bethoven (sp)
    3) John Lennon
    4) The Trews
    5) David Grey

as for the spouse, I would bring my fiance of course...he's very stable, works hard, has patience, is a great father...but lets be honest, I would totally bring someone from Mensa, or someone that can do back breaking labour (if we get out of the bunker) and not complain about it.

    cd's:
matchbox 20 - yourself or someone like you
michelle branch - the spirit room
taylor swift - speak now (delux)
anna nalick - wreck of the day
counting crows - august and everything after

    books:
tom cox - under the paw

    movies:
    coyote ugly
    bring it on
    miss congeniality
    500 days of summer
    probably also a workout dvd

    man:
can i bring a local news anchor i have a total crush on? also maybe i'll run into my bunker just in time to see my ex get vaporised by aliens

    cat:

    This is a hard one.
After thinking about it, I have to admit that I must be selfish, b/c if I were worried about future minds,
I'd pick things in different languages, the Rosetta Stone, etc. :embarassed: what will future minds do w/o cuneiform (sp)?

    - Franny and Zooey- salinger
    - White Teeth - zadie smith
    - Wild Sheep Chase - haruki murakami
    - Ulysses - finally! time to read some joyce...
    - Dictionary

Ye Olde Music. so hard to pick just five! I'm going to cheat - I'm spacey so I often have 2,3 cds stuffed into one case.
Like the cat owner (above) I'm willing to sacrifice. I'll cut off an arm for more music.

    - JAZZY: Getz/Gilberto at Carnegie Hall and Django Reinhardt - Rare Django and Vince Guaraldi - A Charlie Brown Xmas
    - NOISY: Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation and Pixies - Surfer Rosa/Come On Pilgrim and Nirvana - Bleach and Fugazi - Repeater
    - BLEEPY: Kraftwerk - Minimum-Maximum and Orbital (from 1993) and a Detroit Techno compilation
    - I'M WEARING BLACK: Smiths - Hatful of Hollow and the Cure - Pornography and Joy Division 1977-1980
    - CLASSIC: Beatles - Revolver, White Album and AC/DC - Back in Black

-Looks like it's Jack or Mark (Daniels or Makers)
But seriously - should probably be someone taller than me (most adult males qualify, except those munchkins, SHANNON, and for other reason, not that last one that went off-grid - no call, no text, no e-mail :explode: ) with good eyesight, not allergic to everything and has fewer neuroses than i.

ETA: WAIT we get movies? I'll trade for more music, since I already gave up an arm. Add the following:

    - GAZERY: My Bloody Valentine - Loveless and Ride - Nowhere
    - POP: Michael Jackson - Off the Wall and Postal Service - Give Up
    - CLASSICAL: Erik Satie
    - OLD SKOOL: Run DMC, Biggie
    - COUNTRY: Hank Williams, Patsy Cline
