Hi Everyone,
OK,, I need some input on this one. My friend and I went to a shopping mall today and had lunch. Well, I had a HUGE slice of pizza and a diet pepsi. Now, I feel so darn guilty for eating it that I just want to work out for the next couple of hours, but can't because of my back....what can I do to shake the guilty feeling? UGGHHH..never ever again am I doing this (:

All you can do at this point is NOT beat yourself up! Just shake it off and keep plugging along-one setback isn't the end of the world, just jump back on the wagon tomorrow.0

well first of all if your going to indulge you may as well enjoy it because it doesn't happen often. Second, STOP and don't get stressed because when your stressed your bodu releases the hormone cortisol and it will make you gain weight. So for today, take it with a grain of salt and dust it off your shoulder, tomorrow is another day and you can do it.0

Also, sometimes its good to increase your caloric intake for a day or two every few weeks because your body will adjust to the current one and this will trick your body and allow you to avid the starvation mode.0

If you are going to splurge enjoy it! No need for guilt. Just get back to logging and eating well tomorrow.0

We all have bad days! If I were you, I would go on like a 20-30 minute walk. It probably won't take all the calories off, but it's doing something and you may even feel better! If it makes you feel any better, the other day I had 2 cupcakes and lemon meringue pie! I didn't even gain, so I don't feel guilty! I went on a walk for 1/2 hour and didn't stress about it any more!0

We're human, we can't always be perfect! It's okay to indulge, the main thing is that you don't give up and continue with your goals. There's no need to beat yourself up by working twice as hard for that one slip up. We all have our weaknesses.0

none of us got fat from 1 piece of pizza...Our habits are what made us so if you have good habits, good things will follow.
Just like missing 1 workout isn't going to make us explode.
Accept it and move on---at least it wasn't 1 pizza0 -
Have you checked the calories? Maybe you are not as far over calories as you are feeling bad about. Drink lots of water to offset the salt. And maybe try some easy chair exercises that your back could tolerate.0

Hi,
After MANY years and for MANY reasons, I've come to the conclusion that feeling guilty is a wasted emotion. Save that energy for something that makes you feel good.
You've gotten some good advice from the previous posters. One piece of pizza, or one cupcake, or one "whatever" didn't make us fat. We are changing our LIFEstyles. It's hard to demand perfection of others, so why expect it of yourself? Don't beat yourself up.....take the time to get in a little extra walking or weight training or Zumba or whatever your exercise of choice is.
Tomorrow is a brand new day. Make the most of it!
