Weight gain... ugh

The last few days I have been feeling off, kinda bloated and sick to my stomach. I went quite a bit over on my calories a couple days last week, but not enough to gain a full pound. Also, Ihaven't had the chance to do any cardio. (I have been playing softball/practices 3x a week) And now I have gained back a lb. My weight doesn't really fluctuate in the morning from day to day, unless I lose weight, so I know it's not water or a fluke of the scale. Any ideas on why I am feeling icky and gaining weight?

TOM? Maybe you are just going through a funk. Keep with it and you will pull out of it.

water retention can vary weight by as much as 5 pounds, do not worry about it and put off weigh in for another day when you are feeling better.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...at least it's only a pound! I bet you will lose it by next week. Maybe it had to do w/ your stomach being upset. Don't stress over it too much b/c as we all know stress can make you gain weight too.
Good luck getting your groove back!

That sort of thing happens to meet about a week and a half before my TOM. My body holds all it can in in case it needs it. Makes me feel so bloated and ugly. I hate it and it makes me tired and not motivated. Once the TOM finally arrives I feel so much better because it's releasing all its been holding in. Your body may be retaining as it naturally does this time every month. I could be totally be wrong for you, but this is my experience and I'll only lose .4 pounds or something low like that.
  • Drink plenty of water, a gallon, eat plenty of veggies.
  • I found that herbal celery tablets are excellent for water retention at that TOM. They act as a natural diuretic and I find they ease that tummy ache I get in the 3-4 days leading up to TOM.
