Activity level question

Options
I was wondering if I should be choosing "lightly active", and ALSO logging in my exercise calories and eating them, or if I should choose "inactive" and then log? I'm playing around with my intake at the moment since I seem to have stalled in the last two weeks.

What seems to work for you?

Seems to be different for each person. For me it's like this:
I am sedentary (work a desk job)
Work out 6-7 times a week

After some trial and error, my activity level is now set to Very Active (!). I log all my exercise and eat the exercise calories. Go figure.

I'm sure you will get plenty of people telling you to set it to sedentary. You're going to have to experiment to find out for yourself.

When I was losing, I put in sedentary as my activity level and then added in the exercise as I did it.

I bumped mine up to lightly active. Still considering another level up. I say go for it and give it about 3 weeks. Eat the exercise calories, too. I do anywhere from half to almost all.

Thanks so much for your replies everyone. I guess I'll have to rethink how much I'm eating now that I'm on the lower end of the 'normal' range for my height. Will be interesting to put it up, as I've become so used to 1350... :)

It's so frustrating after steadily losing for so long!

So true taso.. I changed my activity level from "lightly active" (i'm a nurse so sometimes on my feet, sometimes not) to sedentary because I started doing a lot more desk work... then BAM! no weight loss.. thanks for opening my eyes.. maybe that screwed me up :)

Ok, I've upped to 1500, lightly active. That's about 1 lb a week, and I plan on exercising also. Let's see how this goes. How long should I give it to see results?

Probably 2-4 weeks. But sometimes if you're stalled and you bump up calories, you'll get some results right away. Fingers crossed for ya.
