Does anyone else suffer from IBS? I do and it really affects my motivation as it tends to be healthy foosd that aggreavates it. Fruit and veg are the worst culprits, but obviously you cant lead a healthy lifestyle without them. But when the scales say youve lost 3 pounds, but your stomach looks like youve swallowed a melon, its so disheartening!!

Any other sufferers out there

    I hear your pain...!

I suffer from IBS as well. I'm a lot better now than what I was, as I have learnt to control it slightly. But when I was at my worst, I stopped eating anything unless I was in the comfort of my own home and knew I wasn't going out again.

I dropped 2 and a half stone in a short amount of time, and I think that's having an effect on me trying to lose weight again now that I've put it back on! I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle!

I have Crohns disease. I can't eat a salad more that 2 days in a row or elce I can't leave my bathroom!!! I eat a lot of pasta. Green vegies are the worst so you can try to stick to yellow squash, eggplant, mushrooms, corn, red peppers ect. I have had it for 9 years now so it is pretty much under control at this point. I can eat almost anything, as long as I don't go overboard with the green stuff!!

My doctor recommended Citrucel for me. I drink a serving in the am before I eat anything and again before bed. That one simple thing has helped me SOOO much. He said that the Citrucel fiber was better than Metamucil for IBS. I use sugar free Citrucel and there are 24 cals in a serving. I also have an issue with milk and ice cream, but yogurt doesn't bother me at all. I try to get about 25-30 grams of fiber a day. These things have made my life just about normal.
