the hotter the weather, the less I like to eat

How crazy is THIS idea??

but I drink a lot... I normally drink 8-10 glasses of water.. in the summer it can be up to 16 glasses of water a day.....My breakfast would not change.... plain oatmeal...2 slices of bacon or sausage ( less than 250 calories) .... Lunch...some kind of salad, likely Caesar ( homemade dressing made with low fat/sugar) ( again less than 250 calories)

Can I "drink" the rest of my calories between fresh squeezed OJ and fresh pressed apple cider?? I know its a LOT of sugar but its not BAD sugar... the only other thing I'd have is my almond milk w/ added protein after my evening workout.

I already have a hard time eating dinner but it gets a LOT worse as the weather warms up on the East Coast.... ( Summer is my least favorite season)

  • I'd try to get some drinks in there with more substance in them... you said you do the milk with the protein powder, that would work! You could also try nutrition drinks like ensure or carnation instant breakfast.. maybe v8 if you like vegetable juice. Smoothies would work too.

But when it comes down to it, do what works for you! :)

I also have trouble eating when it is hot. Nutritionally, it would be much better to eat rather than drink your calories. When I have no appetite I tend to favor salads or grilled vegetables (on skewers is nice). Worst case if you really can't stomach eating, I would make a yogurt based smoothie with fruit instead of juice. You'll get the fruit's fiber plus protein from the yogurt.

I feel your pain...the last thing I want to do when it is hot and humid is eat! (I am in southern New England and we get our share of humidity)
