No more sorness after working out.

When I do weight lifting I no longer feel sore even though I feel the burn (not just a little burn). I lift pretty much until I am making funny faces per set. I must include that I do drink a protein shake (low calorie) after wards and have heard that it helps with soreness. But shouldn't I still feel some soreness? Not sure if this information is relevant but I'm not trying to bulk up or anything just trying to tone up and lose weight. Will I still get results?
