Dream Spit

I often have nights that I am aware of still being awake, yet still manage to dream. Does that make sense? Last night was one of those. So at one point, while I was hovering in that in-between stage, I dreamed that I had a mouthful of laundry detergent. Don't ask me why, cuz that part of the dream has faded away! Anyway, in the dream, I leaned over and spit to get rid of the soap. And did it in real life as well. Just leaned over and spit right into my blankets. I woke up immediately when I felt the ooze on my face. WTF?

Over the last couple of years I have done that probably half a dozen times........crazy! I thought it might be related to my breathe when I needed to visit dentist, Who knows?!

When you are asleep and you know you are dreaming, it is called lucid dreaming. I have wanted to teach myself to do this, with a little success, but don't want to explain to my wife why I am writing in a notebook as soon as I wake up. I usually lay in bed for a 1/2 hour anyway, which doesn't help.

Can't say I've had to spit in my sleep but I have woke up crying and I was once dreaming that I was playing tennis - poor hubby had to go into the spare room to avoid getting a black eye!
