This may seem a bit dramatic. I took another step in the right direction today.

I finally took my deep fat fryer off the counter and cleaned it out and put it away in a cabinet.

There. I did it. Its over. No turning back.

that's awesome!!! Congrats on the courage that must have taken!!!

Once years ago when I decided to finally lose the weight (turned out that was just one of many trial runs for this time) I actually just took my deep fryer and gave it away... no looking back... could no longer have a plate of fries with salt and cheese and tons of ketchup for my late night snacks... it was not easy to do and I regretted it so many times but it stopped me from using it.

This time I cleaned out all the really bad foods that we wouldn't use anymore in our healthier plan and gave them to a family in real need of assistance. I kept a few snacky things for the kids but only kept the things that I knew I wouldn't be tempted to eat.

Sometimes we just need to remove those things and it is so much easier for us on our jouney.

Nope, didn't drink it or try to send it down the sink, either.

No cleanses for this guy. :noway:

I will keep it for the times that I do a long run and burn 2,000 calories or something. Or when they have BOGO breaded butterfly shrimp at the Winn-Dixie....
