using up all your calories for the week

This may seem a silly question. I am to take in 1200 calories a day. I usually workout a lot burning upwards towards 800-100 calories a day. Some days, like yesterday, I end up working out too much and don't feel like eating back all my calories to level out at 1200 again. That said, if I still had 300 calories remaining should I spread them out over the week or just let them go? I don't want to mess anything up with my weight loss.

thanks,
tricia

Yea- you could do this- I actually do it with my long runs- I burn close to 1000 cals and incorporate 1/2 or more of them on the day I do them and then a portion of them the next day.

But in general it's better to eat as many of these as you can on the day you do the exercise (because the whole Idea is to fuel the movement and activity). But you won't keel over and be sucked into instant starvation mode.

For what it's worth - 1300 is usually a bit better a goal than 1200- it gives you a little wiggle room to be under without setting off any warnings for your body.
