Yes...it's true....Hello, My name is Christine and I am a Peanutbutterholic.... (All together now...."Hello, Christine").... :flowerforyou:
I crave it...and no I'm not Pregnant....
I eat it everyday (probably close to 3.5 tablespoons)
One with my oatmeal and over 2 with sliced bananas...
I look forward EVERYDAY to this snack but HATE that it's sooooo high in calories/fat!!
I have tried PB2 & Better n Peanut Butter and they are just NOT the same to me anyways...
I think I need an intervention or something!!!
I have to allocate between 300-500 calories per day just for my addiction!!! (counting the banana)
What can I do?

If you love it and it fits in to your day (which it looks like it does) Keep it!
The fat calories are "good" fats.
Your food looks pretty good to me and you're staying within your calorie limits.0 -
Have you ever tried almond putter? it tastes amazing and it healthier for you. When I was going to the gym my trainer personally recommended it to me, so now I am personally recommending it to you.:flowerforyou:0

Oh yeah...I LOVE that too!! Although I don't buy it as often cause it's a lot more expensive.
But I thought they were pretty equal nutritionally.0 -
peanut butter has more unhealthy fat in it. almond butter, or sunflower putter, or pumkin butter are the betteralternatives.0

Well the first step is admitting you have a problem lol!!!
I would say start slowly decreasing from 3.5 to 3. Do that for a week or two then take it to 2.5. Gradual. And if you put it in an to go container you won't have the whole jar just sitting in your face to torment you.0 -
Don't feel bad....me too. If it's not straight peanut butter, right out of the jar with a measuring spoon, it's with a banana (that's actually my favorite position...spoon of peanut butter in one hand, banana in the other). Sometimes it's on something like bread as a sandwich or rice cakes for a snack...then there's peanut butter protein bars...oh geesss! My favorite is Skippy Natural with Honey. Recently we joined a natural food co-op and we had been spending about $40 per month on peanut butter...I bought a 15 pound bucket of natural peanut butter!!!! It sits on the floor in my kitchen. I scoop it out and put it in a ball jar with either honey, agave or splenda....my kids and husband are addicts too!
Now I have to go have some...NOW!!!!!!
I have NO intention of cutting back!0 -
SO glad to know that I am not the only one with a peanut butter addiction. I can get myself into a lot of trouble with a jar of peanut butter and a spoon! I love it on sandwiches, in oatmeal, on celery, apples, or bananas, on rice cakes...the possibilites are endless
I feel like as long as I fit it into my calories for the day, it's not a problem.

hehe....we all have our vices! If you are coping with keeping it in your diet then leave it there. It is a healthy fat and full of protein which many people need after a good workout.
It could be worse...you could be addicted to crisps and choccies....like me! :laugh:0 -
Have you tried making your own? Fewer calories, overall better for you!0
