I read the BEST information on the community yesterday. Look up "Feed to shed fat" - it's well thought out and researched and makes lots of sense. Hang in there lady ~ you are doing an awesome job!!

Measure yourself. You can use the scale too, but don't rely on it anymore. Once you build enough muscle, your "loss" of pounds will start to decrease because muscle weighs more than fat. Don't get discouraged, you are doing great so far and most likely still losing the inches.

This might not work for everyone. If I hit a plateau, I will have a cheat day and gain a pound or so. I will then work out extra hard for the next 3 days(extra hour per day). I usually bust right through the plateau with little issues.
  • OMG!! You scale and my scale must be related!!!!! LOL! :)

try to change up your workouts, add something different. Maybe increase. If you are bike riding for 30 mins, try the treadmill for 40 mins, maybe try a new dvd, but try adding an extra 10 -15 mins to each workout if you can. I hope this helps

Without knowing your workouts it's hard to tell what is causing your plateau. But it definitely sounds like you need to shock your body. I'm no expert but I take a lot of advise from my trainer. She has taught me how to keep several different workouts ready so you're changing it up as often as you can. Also after some time of a low calorie diet sometimes what is needed is more calories so your body has the fuel to get more of those pounds off. Another thing I keep in mind ALL the time while working out is "stay out of my comfort zone" if you"re finding it easy, it's time to step it up. Push past your mental barriers and go 100% all the time.

But dear, by the sounds of it, you're doing awesome. Plateaus happen to everyone and you can't let it get you down.
    Hope that helps :)

    Luvmesumkenny,
I know this sounds silly but, has been my experience. Are you sure that you're eating enough to make up for all the calories that you are burning? You could have put yourself in a starvation mode and your body is rebelling. If you don't think that's the case then just keep doing what you're doing because, the plateau will break. It might take awhile but it will, and I'm sure that you realize you have lost pretty quickly maybe your body just needs time to catch up. Hope this helps a little, it's obvious that you are doing a fantastic job! I have been dieting and excercising forever it seems. I'm 19 pounds from my goal and down a total of 109 pounds! It's way slower going now so I realize your frustration. Just keep pushin' on!
