New and Nervous

I have never tried calorie counting before. To tell you the truth, I know little about nutrition and that is why I’m so nervous. I have been thinking a lot lately that it is time for a change. About 5 months after I graduated high school, I gained about 50 pounds and it has stayed that way since. I do fluctuate about 10 pounds off and on but that isn’t because I’m doing anything different.

Now…NOW is the time for change. I feel that I am ready to face the difficulties that lay ahead. I now feel comfortable enough to talk with people about my weight and I’m definitely ready to be the me I see me in my head.

I’m looking forward to a short trip for Memorial Day weekend and maybe another for the 4th of July, those two reasons give me a dang good push to get started and stay on track.

As for what will keep me on track for the long run is the promise to myself that I will feel better, and as I work through this I will learn a lot.

So…I am ready and I definitely know I will be looking for pushes as I go. I hope by pushing myself to use the discussion boards that it will help me keep going forward and hopefully make a few new friends along the bumpy road.

Good luck everyone!

Welcome, goldie. Calorie counting was something that I had to get use to also. Although, now that I have been doing it for 2 weeks I am finding it quite easier, and I'm sure you will to. Good luck to you. :)
