I've decided to cook for a couple friends tomorrow night and am having a hard time figuring out what to make. Their request was basically meat and potatoes. One said no onions and no green. Any ideas for what to make for these two non-cooking single guys would be great.

How about barbeque roast chicken with boiled new potatoes and salad as an option, easy for you to controll your portion, & they can have what they like at whatever portion they like also soo simple to do! its not exciting, but its yummy

Grill pork chops, baked potatoes with fixins. Bake white and sweet potatoes. Add some green beans and call it good. You can eat the healthy stuff and let them stuff themselves on fixings.

What about BBQ chicken, baked potato, and corn? No onion and no greens.

3 lbs. extra lean ground beef, ground turkey or ground lamb
6 to 8 yukon gold potatoes, peeled
1 or 2 lg. tomatoes, slices
3/4 c. parsley, chopped (or dried)
    1/3 c. butter
    Salt, pepper, Allspice
    1 c. water

Mix meat, parsley and season to taste. Spread in bottom of pan to about 1 inch thickness. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour or until medium doneness. Spread potatoes and then tomatoes on top; dot with butter. Add 1 cup water. Cover and bake another 1/2 hour or 45 minutes until potatoes are done. Put under broiler for about 5 to 10 minutes to brown potatoes and tomatoes slightly. Serve with pita bread and salad. Serves 6.
