So. It's April. My first trail race of the year is in May. I haven't registered for it yet. But I will. I swear I will.
I'm terrified.
It's not like I haven't done it before. I did the death race last year AND the year before. I've done this exact series the past 2 years. But I haven't been running even close to as much as I was - by this time last year I was up to 14 km long runs...I ran a 5 k last night and it was just in my neighbourhood and I felt like I was going to DIE.
I've been working out, doing spin, personal training, TONS of circuit training, but I feel like the last 2 years I overdid it in the running department and its just really hard for me to GET BACK.

Does this even make sense?

I just want to love running again!!!

Absoltuely makes sense. Different activites different set of muscles working differently. It could be worse if you have not been doing anything at all. Ease back into it. Push yourself but don't over push. Sound like your an athlete so you can get this done. Good luck with your trail event
