Welcome!! Good to have you here. Feel free to friend me if you like. The best thing I can think of right now is to make sure you record everything you eat. that has been the best step for me. I have really watched what I have put into my mouth since I have done that.

I've only been here for a month but I can tell your that Carmendu is absolutely correct: be honest about what you eat and put it in your log. Log it as soon as you eat it or at least as close to that time as possible. Get a food scale and weigh out your food. Use the serving size listed on the package so you don't have to do calculus to figure out what the value of 1.35 servings of something is.

This site is incredibly helpful to me because I never ate bad at my meals, but I would snack ALL THE TIME. That is where I put on my weight. Small bag of pretzels here, a brownie at the office there, and so on. By keeping a very close track on what I was eating I was able to say to myself "If I eat that, I've got to log it. Is it worth all the effort?" And watching the calories "count down" was instructive too. For the first few days I was at the end of the day and realized that if I wanted to meet my goal I would only have about 130 calories left for dinner. From that point on, I was more conscious of what I was eating during the day.

Stick to it. It really does work!

Just keep on keeping on. Make sure you log everything and it works! If you don't, you're only cheating yourelf. GOOD LUCK!!! And, what are HCG drops? Okay, I looked them up. YIKES!! Expensive!! Let me know how they work for you.....another one of those things that seems too good to be true....have you heard of any experience with them first hand?

I just started using this site as well, and I have already lost four pounds in a week! I'm using this site along with one of my close friends, and we made a little bet on who can lose 30 pounds first. Also having him do this with me helps because we keep each other in check...we always make sure we are completing our food diaries. Ultimately this site really opened my eyes to how many calories are in everything, and counting calories is a good habit to get into if you wanna lose weight. Best of luck with your weight loss goals!!

I have only been here only a few days. The tracking of the food is key. Really makes you realize how much you do eat. Also, I added Sugar and Fiber to be counted on the food list. Much to my dismay, I am WAYYY over on sugar. Hope you like it here :-)
