I have been searching the internet after trying MFP database to find out how many calories are in a King Prawn Bahar as I am going out for a meal this evening with friends and the majority vote was indian. Apparently according to the online menu it is made up of "King Prawins in a medium spiced thick sauce, fresh corriander, tomatoes, onion and chef's own recipe" Do I just put each item in MFP database and guess the amount I am having and pick a creamy sauce?

i have had that problem twice.
basically tho its gonna happen whenever i go for sushi or something.
i just make a note in my notes of my food diary that I ate out what i had and that I went over and use it as a ... treat day :ohwell:

I usually search for something generic which gives you a guide. In this case I'd probably look for a prawn curry and pick something that sounds similar. it isn't going to be spot on but in my opinion it is better to have something close than nothing at all.
Enjoy your dinner, I love Indian food!

What about eating something thats easier to find? In any case, you can only give it your best guess. I make alot of Indian food at home and even the spices have a calorific value, just keep to something made in a tomato sauce or a tandori, stay away from creamy sauces and all the extras, poppadums etc can really put you way over! And dont go there starving either!!

But most importantly, enjoy yourself, one meal over wont do you any harm if the rest of the week is ok.
