does anyone use these tools? Are they worth the investment? GoWear Fit sounds awsome and would love to get it... if it is as good as it sounds.
Any info or opinions would be great.

Thanks

Do some research - there are positives and negatives of both. I did the research and actually went with the FitBit. It doesn't have all the same bells and whistles, but does what I need it to and is much cheaper (plus it's just an itty bitty thing so I don't have to wear an armband around all the time).

I have a bodybugg for about 7 weeks now. I love it! Have continued to lose weight while using it. Learned a lot about how many calories I burn during certain activities. The only the I do not like about it is that it is not water proof. During the summer we do a lot of swimming at the creeks and lakes around here, so I wont be able to count those cals burned. Otherwise, great!

I have the BodyMedia Fit and really love having it. It's been hugely motivating for me to see how many calories I burn doing various daily activities. I've had it for about six weeks so far and it's been a great tool to have.

I had a bodybug last year and really didn't like it. It didn't help me at all. It doesn't accurately count your calories on activities that don't use your arms. For instance, using the elliptical doesn't show up as burning many calories at all even if you get your heart rate up and keep it there. It also doesn't calculate for bike riding.

In comparison with a heart rate monitor I really prefer the HRM because it will measure any activity based on your heart rate.

I know lots of people who have had great success with bodybug but while I used it I didn't lose any more weight than I was losing already so for me it wasn't worth the investment.
