Pretty much finished "Making the Cut" by Jullian Michaels. She has a 7-day diet at the end (for times when you just have to look your best) that is under 1000 calories a day. Her 30-day diet is your BMR and exercise calories don't count, as far as I could tell. Oh, she also says to not eat processed food, then recommends you buy carb conscious low-fat milk, fat-free American Cheese, and weight control oatmeal (whatever the hell that is).
While I liked the circuits, there's no way I would do them on my own. I'm glad I got the book from the library.
So, IMHO, she may know her workouts, but she really, really needs to work on nutrition. Thank goodness for Libraries.
Got another book at the same time called "What to Eat" by Marion Nestle. It's good so far.

I haven't heard of that book but her style seems a little too extreme for me. I like slow and steady...makes it more manageable for me...although I'd LOVE to lose weight immediately and have it stay off! I eat the weight control oatmeal in the winter with a handful of dried cranberries in it. It's made by Quaker and has extra fiber and protein in it to keep you full longer. It's also made with a sugar substitute. I'm surprised that she says to stay away from processed foods then recommends that. Hmmm...:noway:0

I haven't read that yet, but I'll be reading the book by Bob Harper soon I think it's called are you ready or something like that. As they were trainers on the same show, I'll be curious to see if their point of views nutrition wise are the same. I never really watched the show, but use the biggest loser workout dvd.0

I've always liked Bob's workouts better, but that could be because I would rather look at him than her  I'll check out Bob's book from the Library and report back.0
