Any other do-gooders out there participating in Relay for Life this summer? There's only 99 more days to go until our town's marathon and I AM PUMPED! Last year we had some great weather and a nice turnout of pledges. I'm hoping this year is even better!

I'm having a hard time convincing some of my friends and especially my husband to commit. It seems like they are all too lazy to devote some time for a good cause. It's not like a chore or something...jeez. Luckily, my family is on board with me and we're going to make it happen.

At least you've got SOME people in your corner. I think it actually sounds like a lot of fun - music, food, friends - so I'm looking forward to it!!

I participate through my work each year (for the last 9 years): I love doing it because it helps bring more than just funds to help research & treatments, but awareness, also. Plus, I love getting the chance to be creative & makes arts/crafts that we can sell with ALL proceeds going to ACS:happy:
Cancer runs in both my & my hubby's family so anything we can do to help our futures is good a few days of volunteering is definitely worth it!

Mine is the first weekend of June, and I am really excited about it! I'm also having a hard time getting people into it and getting donations, but I'm hoping as we get closer it'll get easier. Seems like a lot of people aren't interested unless cancer has personally affected them.
