I was looking into a Vita-Mix when my Oster blender died, but the $300+ price tag was out of reach. So I purchased a Ninja Professional 1000 watt blender for $99 at Target. This is an amazing blender, and much cheaper than the Vita-mix.0

I have the vitamix 5000 series (5100/5200) and yeah love making smoothies, soups, and it really is great, quite costly, but you get what you pay for, and I tell ya the thing won't die, it's a well made machine....typically we'll take an orange, protein powder, milk, frozen strawberries/raspberries/whatever we feel like and make some rich smoothies....puts jamba juice and all those other pretenders to shame lol0
