Good Tasting Water

Hello,

I'm new at this site and just recently came back from an appointment with a weight loss program local in my area. One of the things that I know I need to improve on is my high calorie sugar drinks like soda (32 - 48 oz per day) and fruit drinks (12 - 24 oz). Some of the medication I'm on do not allow me to have any kind of sweeteners like Splenda, Sweet-n-Low, or Equal this is due to a drug interaction. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on finding ways to get more water. I have no problem drinking water, but my local supply isn't great any suggestions for a filter.

Thanks,

I usually get the cheap gallon water from my local grocery store (deer park or whatevers on sale). I add either freshly squeezed lemon or lime to add a little flavor. If I crave something with a little more flavor, I'll blend 3/4 glass of water with 1/4 apple juice and it is a refreshing drink. Hope this helps...

Get a Brita water pitcher & fill with tap water...the filter's supposed to take out the "yucky" stuff.:drinker:

I just use a Brita pitcher filter. Our water isn't terrible in my city, though, and running it through the filter just makes it taste so much better.

Also, as far as sweeteners go, see if you can use Truvia/Stevia. I am absolutely in love with it.

Brita filters are actually really decent if you remember to change them on time. and for the water itself, smoosh some berries and throw them in your glass before you fill it.

i usually drink my water plain, but this makes for a nice change sometimes.

Try MiO, it's a calorie free, sugar free, all other free liquid water enhancer. It doesn't use artificial sweetners either. And you just squeeze in the amount you want so you can get the right flavor for you. I love the Berry Pomegranate flavor. I use 3 small squeezes in my 24 oz bottle.

The water in my city is AWFUL--but I rent one of those coolers from Culligan ($8/mo) that holds 5gal jugs, and I use their bottled water. I LOVE it. I don't like to pay for their refills all the time, so I take the jugs in to walmart or the grocery store and refill them at the Culligan machine--it's 30 cents a gallon, cheaper than the gallon jugs and nicer to the earth too.

It does use sweetners... It has Sucralose and Acesulfame
