Hello I have been on mfp since last week and I so far can it has been an awakening to all the foods that I have ben eating! I have 3 children, ages 10, 4, & 2. I decided to get back into working out about a year ago when I got into Muay Thai Kickboxing. I am currently doing this 3-4 days a week. In November I joined the gym when it opend in my work building and since then I have lost 25lbs and 2 dress sizes. I eat right and I am very active. Loosing the stubborn baby weight is so HARD!

Pam,
Nice to meet you so to speak. Sounds like you are off to a wonderful start! Keep up the good work!0 -
I should add that all throughout highschool I weighed 137lbs as I was a competitive swimmer. I went on Depo Provera for 5 years before I got pregnant with my 10 year old. Slowly the weight gain krept up once I was out of highschool and I became pregnant with my first child. In a period of 10 years I gained 100lbs. Now that I am finished having kids, I want my shape back. This past week I noticed that the roundness in my stomach is gone that it is flatter. I haven't been this happy about my body image in a long time!0

Welcome!!! This a great site with tons of support:-) Congrats on the loss of 25 pounds, I am almost there myself. 21 down:-) I also have three kids one turning 9, one turning 6 and a 2 year old. I decided a few months ago that the best gift I could give them was a happy healthy Mom that was going to be a round a very long time:-) I also have started to notice the difference in my body and I just can't wait to hit my goal. Keep up the good work!!!! add me as a friend if you like:-):happy:0

Hi Pam and everyone.
Today is my first day here too. I have been working out for almost a year now and just started c25k program after I quit smoking three months ago. It will take me forever to get through the program but since I did it to improve my breathing I am not really too worried about time. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.0 -
Hi there! Just want to welcome you! I love this site and find it very helpful in many, many weighs:laugh: I really love watching my ticker change as I lose weight! That is so much incentive! The calorie counter is fantastic! The support from other members is unending! I pray you are successful in your weight loss endeavor and achieve a healthy balance in your life!
I am 49 years old, have lost 39 pounds so far and yes, I did have Lap-Band surgery to assist me, after decades of playing the yo-yo game with no success! Now it is all about eating healthy, eating small portions and exercising! I just had a hysterectomy April 1st so I have a little recovery time before I can hit the gym, but I can't wait!
I pray I reach my goal before the beginning of October as my husband and I are renewing our vows for our Silver Anniversary. WOW, 25 wonderful years!0
