So I am starving right now (had a job interview and a long drive and didn't get lunch til about 3:30 or 4) and have no idea what to eat. I don't eat meat on Fridays for lent and I have already gone over on my carbs for the day. Any suggestions? Preferably nothing that I have to cook or done the dishes from....

How many calories do you have left? If not a lot, I recommend filling veggies. Tonight I'm having 2 cups of broccoli and cauliflower and then a sweet potato with a little butter and salt. It's quite filling. No cooking if you have a microwave. ;) Frozen veggies popped in for 3 minutes. Sweet potato in for 6 minutes. Voila!

I agree with Millie. Cheese or pb with veggies or fruits. But if you are still hungry some high fiber carbs might be better than grabbing something less healthy later

Fish...well, that's what my fam always has for friday's during lent....I really eat fish, and don't really practice my religion n e more...but if u do eat fish or w/e I'd say an easy thing would be tuna fish with a salad?

I know you're focussed on what to eat right now, but try and look at the bigger picture... Spending some time thinking out strategies so you don't ever end up eating lunch at 4pm is going to be give you far better results in the long term than putting your efforts into eating something low calorie when you're already starving tonight.

This flippant sounding advice comes from LONG experience by the way, and yes I'm still prone to getting it wrong.

Thanks guys! I found veggies (lettuce, tomato, onion, and black beans) and cheese from yesterday's ground turkey tacos in the frigde and made a little salad. Tomorrow someone is going to find leftover taco meat and no other fixin's--gee ma I don't know where the veggies went, hehe.
@TourThePast: Today was just a weird day...everyone left the house early (job interviews, funeral, babysitting so others could attend the funeral), no one cooked anything, and it is stupid Lent (which I usually like because it gives me a reason to force the fam to try new vegetarian dishes). A whole set of weird circumstances led to me trying to come up with dinner/ snack plans at 9P. But you are right, a lot of my eating comes from habit and when I am out of my routines, I need to plan better.
