Im really frustrated because Im having a hard time targetting my abs. I cant even bend strait over and tie my shoes without getting an uncomfortable bulge that affects my breathing for a second or two. The problem is my belly is where all the blubber is and its painful to avoid targeting it. I can do crunches but not situps. Any suggestions?

EEK! Hopefully your doc can give you better tips that me.
Anyway, maybe a standing/twisting type excersise with resistance bands?0 -
My suggestion is to get it looked at ASAP because you don't want the blood flow to get cut off. When it's hurting thats a sign to have it looked at. Oh yeah, stop the ab work til you see a surgeon. I had an umbilical hernia and my workouts made it so painful even when I was not working out (pain when working out, too). I made an appt. and had it repaired a month ago. I feel great and my abdomen is healing lovely. I am now licensed to teach Zumba and I am doing well. Good luck to you my friend. I hope you take this into acct. and get it looked at so nothing bad will happen.0
