Should I log Stretching?

I usually log only the intense stuff, like cardio and strength stuff. I plan to do start doing a lot more stretching (due to an injury) and would find it helpful to log it, since that will help me ensure that I do it daily. However, I'm wondering if it sort of doesn't count, since I don't expect to be exerting myself much. Kind of like logging calories expended while cooking supper or doing taxes would feel like cheating. Thoughts?

You could always put it in the "note" section of exercise0

log it each day until you've recovered from your injury.
Then when you start working out again you can continue the good habit and you can exclude it again at that time.0 -
i do yoga stretching for 9 mins every morning before i do shred and i log it....gives me a few more extra calories and honestly I need it because i love to eat!0

I log it because it is an activity related to my workouts and fitness goals. I stop and take time out of my day to do it, and I stretch for longer periods of time so I choose to count it. It doesn't burn a lot of calories but I still like to keep track! I wear a hrm but they have mild stretching as well as hatha yoga built into the database already!0

I do about 20 minutes of stretching without fail as part of my workout, prior to my conditioning. According to my HRM I'm burn nearly 100 calories. Darn straight I log 'em!0

You people are so great!! I've only posted a few times, and I always think no one will reply...and here I get a wealth of ideas, info, and perspectives. Thanks all! I think I'll log it for awhile and see how it goes. If my weight loss slows, then I can change it up, right? For now, perhaps adding those calories to my day will motivate me to actually do it!!0

Hey chick - I log it because before I didn't do anything. While stretching I really focus on my muscles and making them work. Until you get back to normal, it's what you do for exercise. It doesn't burn a lot but you didn't do it before. Hope you are feeling better soon.0
