Calorie burn

Hi there, I am just trying to figure out how many calories one should burn through exercise in order to lose the most weight without your body going into starvation mode... So say if one is on a 1600 calorie a day diet, does that mean you are supposed to burn all 1600 daily calories in your daily workout routine?

Hi,
search the forums for information about 'eating exercise calories' to read in-depth discussions that we have already had.
For now, I will state simply: If MFP offers you 1600 a day, aim to burn 400 calories or less. If you burn more than 400 calories, eat more.
Goal: Food - exercise = Net
Aim your net at 1200 or above
1600: 1600 - 400 = 12000
