So I have seen a lot of people post on here things about zigzagging calories and not letting your body adapt to your workout. Well, pretty sure mine has. I workout all the time and eat BASICALLY the same and haven't lost any weight since around the end of March. I have my diary open and some days are good and some days are not so much but can anyone help me understand the zigzagging part and maybe give me some tips on what I personally should be doing? Thanks in advance!

Hey girl. You may want to up the intensity of your workouts. It seems that you do alot of low intensity exercise. This is good but your body needs a change and switching up the intensity and time of your workouts will help. Zigzagging calories are a good idea but you arent eating the "exact" same calories everyday as it is. Zigzagging is hard to do on MFP because it sets you up with the same calories everyday. Try this...if you are under your calorie goal by say 100 on monday then on tuesday try to be over by 100 to even it out. It is good to measure your calories by the week. I hope this helps :flowerforyou:

I've been calorie cycling for two weeks now to try to beat a plateau - and it seems to be working. Basically, 'zigzagging' tricks your body into not knowing what's coming next so it doesn't get accustomed to a set amount of calories.

At the end of the week, your average daily calories is still what's needed for fat loss.

Check out this calculator to help determine some possibilities: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

Thank you all! I need to up the workout...It has been the exact same for a few weeks now except me including the walking part. I need to start running. A lot of people get great results running I just am really bad at running. But I know, in time it will get better. The calorie calculator that someone posted on here (sorry I can't see who did as I am typing this) but really lays everything out at well. Here are some topics I just looked up that may be of interest to anyone...
