Work Calories are more than daily goal calories?

Well I am a bit stumped here. I work at a deli and it is a very fast moving job. I have taken my heart rate monitor to work and on a regular 8 hour shift I burn 2052 calories. I have burned 1383 just in 5 hours there and even got my heart rate in the target zone for over an hour that day!
Anyway in my goals it says my body burns 2050 and I should eat 1200 well trust me on these work days I am just starving.
I do not get many chances for water during the day usually on a 10 minute break or my lunch. There is absolutely no eating or drinking while working.
I put in that I am moderately active the waiting tables etc.
I also if time allows on the shorter days get a workout in so it just tells me to eat back my exercise calories. Well I am thinking I should be eating back some of my work calories as well.
I know from wearing my heart rate monitor also that my body burns 100 calories an hour so 2400 a day just a normal day for me no workout.
I am hoping someone can shed some light on this I am trying but after 8 hours yesterday and 6 hours between meals I was starving!!!

Have you changed the setting for your daily activity level? It sounds like you should have yours set in the Goals area to "Very Active", if you don't already. MFP should have you eating 500 calories less than what you are burning so you're losing about a pound a week. Burning 2050 and eating 1200 doesn't sound right to me.

When you set up your account, what did you set your daily activity level to? If it isn't 'active' you should change it... MFP will give you a new calorie goal...

First, it's ridiculous that you're not allowed to drink water while working at such a fast-paced job. It's incredibly unhealthy (and probably illegal) and your boss should understand this. Most states have laws that require a 10-minute break every 2 hours in additon to a 30-minute lunch break if you work 8 hours. You must eat something during every break and drink tons of water throughout the entire day. Waiting 6 hours between meals will mess you up big time. Include protein, carbs and fat for each mini-meal while you're at work.

The other poster is correct, MFP will calculate a 500 calorie deficit per day to lose one lb. per week. On the days you work at the deli, I would change your activity level to "very active." Log any additional exercise you do and eat those calories back too. On the days you don't work at the deli, change your activity level to something less than "very active". Never include dedicated ("extra") exercise in the activity level; you should log that in MFP's exercise tab.

Your job is certainly prohibiting effective, healthy weight loss and metabolism. I wish you the best of luck.
